Aibotix GmbH presents new products at the INTERGEO trade fair 2015
Leica Geosystems AG and HEXAGON AB partner stand
Kassel/Stuttgart, 03.09.2015 – Kassel-based company Aibotix GmbH to present a unique programme of new solutions for survey helicopters, indoor and outdoor flight shows and lectures at the INTERGEO 2015 trade fair. Experience the AibotX6 hexacopter Version 2 at the joint stand shared by HEXAGON AB and Leica Geosystems AG.
Developing new solutions for everyday surveying – this is the core task of HEXAGON AB, who co-own the Kassel-based company Aibotix GmbH and their AibotX6 UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) together with Leica Geosystems AG. The hexacopter, which has been specially developed for targeted use in complex surveying tasks, was presented this year with a brand new innovation, which celebrated its world premiere on the trade fair’s first day as well as the latest adaptation of the hyperspectral camera on board the AibotX6 Version 2, which was presented in Berlin last year.
Exciting programme – get that pilot feeling!
At their own individual stand D4.045 in Hall 4 of Stuttgart’s trade fair grounds, Aibotix will offer all its clients and other interested parties a programme comprising a flight show, infotainment and consultation from 15. to 17. September 2015. The top innovation – developed in partnership with other Leica Geosystems AG companies and exclusively presented for the first time on 15. September 2015 on the morning of the first exhibition day – is to be presented in a video lecture every hour, on the hour, between 9am and 6pm. In addition to this, an indoor flight display with the AibotX6 hexacopter will also be provided at the stand hourly from 9.30am every day.
At 3pm on Tuesday 15. September, 4pm on Wednesday 16. September and 3pm on Thursday 17. September, the flight properties and latest developments of the AibotX6 UAV will be presented in the outdoor area of the INTERGEO exhibition held on Stuttgart’s trade fair grounds. Following a short talk, all visitors are warmly invited to experience the flight characteristics of the survey helicopter for themselves and take control of the steering wheel in teacher-pupil mode. A unique opportunity that is only possible thanks to a special flight permit.
Lectures and information sessions
Thanks to the close cooperation with Leica Geosystems AG, it has been possible to fill this year’s programme with even more events than ever before. Every day, Carsten Rudolph, Director EMEA Sales Support Aibotix GmbH will present a technical lecture titled “A new level of UAS positioning” at the interaerial SOLUTIONS specialist forum in Hall 8. At 11.50am on 16. September, Dr Herbert Machill, Managing Director Aibotix GmbH will be on the DVW (German Association for Surveying and Mapping, also known as the Society for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management) stage in Hall C4.2 discussing the topic of “New Quality of High-Precision UAV Geo-Referencing”.
